Franklin Goins

My Grandfather Franklin Goins was a hard-working Franklin Co. native. He was a dairyman, President of Pickett and Goins Insurance, an auctioneer, a member of the KY House of Representatives, and developed subdivisions in Frankfort, Georgetown, Harrodsburg, and Danville and was active in local and state politics. I remember how we would always go to breakfast together at what is now known as Rick’s White Light Dinner and spend time with him in his insurance agency downtown Frankfort. He loved his family and community.
